Birthday Boy and Summer Fun!!

Tyler had a GREAT day on his birthday.  I don't think he's ever smiled so much in one day!!  This is the t-ball set that Grandma and Grandpa Williams gave him.  Batter Batter Swing!

This is the car Heidi gave him.  I said "Show me the car" for the camera and he really showed me :)

He did really well opening with plenty of coaching going on on the sidelines.

This is a musical card from Granny Jo and Grandpa which he loved.  He's trying to see just what it is that's making the music in there.

Offering some of his cupcake to Daddy.  Tempting, but no.

I think the girls enjoyed his birthday just as much as he did if not more.  They even convinced me that pizza is his favorite food so that's what we had for dinner.

We happened to be having our ward play group at the park yesterday so I took advantage of the opportunity to have a little party for Tyler.  He was eyeing the cupcakes from the minute we brought them out and even reached up and stole a chocolate chip while the kids were singing to him.

The cupcakes were suppose to look like car tires.  We needed you Kelly!!  But they were delicious at least.  Quite a few kids told us so.

Heidi made a sign for the apple juice that said "gasoline" to go along with the CARS theme.  I thought it was pretty creative.

We got to re-use this awesome sign that Myken and Brian made for us last year at Yellowstone.  Thank you Myken and Brian.  You didn't know you were deciding the theme of Tyler's birthdays for the next 5+ years did you? :)

We attempted to turn our wagon into Lightning McQueen.  I thought the license plate was the best part.  A couple of kids rode in it at the party and we also played "Red Light, Green Light" and "Ring around the Racetrack."

Tyler's new wheels.  He got this first thing in the morning and was very excited, all smiles.

And he's off!  It makes some really fun noises too.

OUR BOAT!!  In case you haven't heard, we got a boat about 2 weeks ago and here we are our first time out.  We've been out twice now, both during Tyler's nap time so this is where he and I stayed for the duration.  I love riding in the boat though and watching the girls on the tube.  Fun stuff!

The water on the river is pretty cold but they still had a great time.

Cleaning her up for her first time out in Oregon.  Also in case you haven't heard, Scott went all the way to Utah to pick her up!!

 Happy girls :)

We also spent one of our first summer days painting rocks in the garage.  It was actually a rainy summer day so that's why we were in the garage.  Would I have mopped my floor that morning knowing that kids would be going in and out getting rocks?  No.  But they turned out cute.

Tyler has had fun having the girls home from school.  Putting his stuffed Dora chair on Heidi's computer chair and then tying him to it and pushing him around is NEVER something I would think to do with him.  Thank heaven's for sisters!

Tyler has always loved it when I vacuum and has recently taken up following me around with the attachment and helping out.  He would actually do a decent job if the attachment was attached :)

This is the bridge Heidi built for school with a little help from me, Scott, and Nicole.  It was a "family" project and we had a good time helping out once we got going.  Heidi came up with the whole design.

I wouldn't even include this pic of my birthday if it weren't for how cute Tyler looks turning around smiling.  What a cute bunch I have.  It makes getting older all worth it!

Heidi and Nicole did the "Try-athlon" again this year and had a great time!  They swam biked and ran but the running pics were the best.

Here's a pic of my singing recital last week.  We came up with names for the classes that you might be able to see on the chalkboard.  The younger girls are the "Twinkle Notes" and the older girls are "Suite Sound".   Scott got the recital downloaded tonight so we will get it posted very soon.  It turned out great.  The girls are adorable and did such a good job!

Here's my little guy on the day he surprised me by going out in the garage and starting to ride his scooter.  I didn't even know he could do it!  He usually just pushes it around and walks next to it.  Now maybe one day he'll surprise me again and start talking!!
